When climate change is a Fight for National Existence

When thinking about global climate change I always think of the Netherlands. A nation of perfectly nice people that may not exist down the road, but cannot do anything about it.

It must be odd to be Dutch, listening to a fairly abstract global discussion of the existence or non-existence of half your country.

It seems safe to say that if most nations were largely below sea-level the global view would be quite different.

The red portion here is area below sea level. Amsterdam is about 6 feet below.
