At the risk of getting another post removed for insufficient optimism...I am worried about the future.
Will decent people EVER get excited and energetic? Or will we have to wait until the pain suffered by the precious and the frail have to be so overwhelming that we cannot live with ourselves?
Will we even get excited then? Or will any and all expressions of passion and energy have to go through several studies and committees? Obviously detailed linguistic analysis will have to be performed to provide acceptable messaging.
We are about to lose our nation to the orcs and all we can do is navel gaze?

(7,194 posts)When they have come for our human rights, patience is an unaffordable luxury.

(11,486 posts)Republicons and christo-fascists will all have epiphanies and work to reverse their rancid actions of the last few decades.
Billionaires will start paying a fair share of taxes. Corporations will also, as well as becoming model corporate citizens. Every employee will be well-paid and the environment will be repaired.
And we'll all live happily ever after. Better?
