Didn't see this posted already, so here goes:
Oklahoma's Gov. Stitt being interviewed -- with oddly real questions and not-so-great stats for him -- by a FOX reporter of all people. Dipstitt does the usual Republican mealy-mouthed evasion.

The video is about 3 minutes and then the usual excellent BTC commentary.

(12,821 posts)I would've thought it impossible to sum up the sheer amount of BS talking points and deflections, but BPotato did a good high-level statement in his response to you.
One of the high points is Stitt saying once or twice, "I can't even imagine," in response to the anguish a rape victim might feel. Really, Stitt? Then should you be the one forcing your opinion on every state resident?
Oh, and also where he's presented with survey results from Oklahoma citizens showing 51% in favor of abortion access, and he takes the usual Republican tack of, "Well, those numbers don't reflect what *I'm* seeing..."
He also nicely ignores child poverty stats and other metrics that show Oklahoma is way, way down in the most bottom-ranked states, although he does -- probably not coincidentally -- point out that Oklahoma has a nice market-based system going for it instead of what he calls "radical socialist" policies. And clearly -- the metrics just underscore Oklahoma's "success" in that regard.
