Remember the movie "Primary Colors" when the opposing candidate has a heart attack and the Governor of Florida (Larry Hagman) is asked by wife of the now gravely ill challenger to pick up the campaign in his absence & he agrees. Freddy Picker says in his first press conference that he doesn't want to talk about the campaign instead, suggests that all the press go to the hospital with him to give a pint of blood for the candidate who was in critical condition.

The Stanton campaign is watching this press conference on TV @ their headquarters so when they hear Picker suggest how he & the press should give a pint of blood...the immediate reaction is from Gov. Jack Stanton & his reaction is visceral when he says "We should have done that blood thing, damn it, why didn't we think of that?" The strategist says "man that's great politics there!"

Ya see, that's Mitt Rmoney in a nutshell...he will do anything, say anything, lie about anything, and it is all about wanting & getting ANYTHING HE &ANN WANT, PERIOD! He wants the job, but he doesn't care about doing the job..it is the perks.
But when it comes to HIS OWN $$$, he doesn't even think that's what victims need...he thinks pander to first responders, & the canned goods is what out of touch gasbag fucks like him think is appropos for "you people".

Calling him a sociopath is not enough. There is a better word & I'm still trying to find it. We can't let this man steal this election...there is so much riding on it.

Except Paul Ryan isn’t thanking volunteers in New York or Atlantic City. He’s thanking them in the in the pivotal swing state of Wisconsin. And he’s not thanking volunteers actually involved in the relief effort (they’re too busy trying to bring relief to people)…..

And Anne Romney? … she’s attending two “storm relief events” of her own. And where are they being held? Well, knock me down with a feather. Or a hurricane. Anne’s off to Wisconsin and Iowa …. both vital to her husband’s election chances.

"What about Mitt Romney himself? His “relief event” is taking place – again purely by chance – in Ohio….."

I was born in Ohio, moved away 30 years ago, and I'm still a Browns fan. (Covers head and hides.)

But I never ONCE voted Republican. If the Buckeyes vote Mittens, I'm entirely done with them. Christ on a cracker - what does it take to convince people to not vote against their self-interest?

In a state with an increasingly weak public education system. Thirty years ago Ohioans got a solid education. That is no longer the case.

Add to that lots of mega churches spreading their disinformation, and you have a state that is very vulnerable to making bad decisions at the voting booth. I am hopeful for this election, however. Ohio gave SB 5 the boot quite soundly.

And about the Browns ... They DID win this weekend ....

I was debating with an old neighbor and true progressive, earlier on during the primary debates, when he stated that Mitt seemed like a reasonable republican. I told him that there's something about the guy that just doesn't sit well with me. Then the bullying stories broke, the pranks, and I knew my intuition was correct. My friend since then recanted on his belief that Romney resembled anything near normalcy, and in his own words "kinda creepy"

I found it ironic that babylonsister posted the Rolling Stones article featuring Stephen Stills in the politics forum and said it best. "With only a few days left, there is very little opportunity for nuance, so I will just tell you from my gut. I never in my lifetime thought I would see a creepier politician than Richard Nixon, but in the last few days, it became clear that Willard Mitt Romney is really, really creepy. Icky creepy, as my granddaughter would put it."

One might argue the Bush family was creepier than Nixon, but Romney has them both beat. I can't for the life of me figure out how the media and celebrities with ANY sense of a moral compass can play up to this asshole. It's disgusting and a disgrace to the intellect of this country.

R/R are so opposed to abortion because "thou shalt not kill", yet they are willing to start another war or several in the middle east but helping people during a disaster is a bad thing.

Heck of job there Rmoney. I guess you kind of forgot about that bearing false witness thing huh?

Why doesn't Mr. Moneybags donate a cool million to the Red Cross? He can certainly afford it.

understand how anyone can vote for Mitt Romney, it boggles my mind. He is the lowest of the low!

The American people have progressed and voted for President Obama and along comes a scumbag, who only knows how to run a corporation and make money, running for the President.

Dunno, those reality shows in the US are real people, never thought hog hunters and duck hunters were real, I thought they were made for dumbing down some Americans.
