I can't find any recent updates about the damage crane in NYC. Has anyone heard

1. On the news earlier they said ...

that they 'might' take chains to try to secure the dangling part.

And they were saying that they 'might' have to put up another crane to take the first one down.

Nothing definite yet.

3. Thanks for the update. I'm surprised that there is no follow-up of this

of what could be a unmitigated disaster in the major news sources. That boom looks like it could snap off any minute as it seems only to be attached to the crane in 2 or 3 places.

I know they were going to evacuate--haven't seen anything since then.

it is still there, held up by "braces." It will take a few days to catalogue the damage and figure the best way to get it down
