The worst damage to the subway system in over 100 years

Tuesday marks the first time since 1888 that the NYSE remained closed for two consecutive days because of weather. The earlier shutdown was caused by a massive snow storm.

Eight million people have no power

President Obama and the emergency experts were 100% correct on this one. They saved thousands of lives.

I'm one of the ones without power. I live in the East Village. We at least had no flooding and the busses started running All of lower Manhattan is flooded and the two tunnels down there are totally flooded. I've never seen anything like it

In Lower Manhattan and the Wall St. area the subway stations were flooded with water up to the ceiling. WTC site also flooded. The storm surge pushed by winds of 90mph was devastating.
