the rest of the world figured it out long ago: it's the god damned guns. The common thread running through all these massacres is guns, and without guns these tragedies wouldn't happen.

That's for those directly affected.

Some self righteous white hot anger and indignation that America has come to this low point through inaction on guns would work better.

But only if it led to some positive action to stop the next one.

Every country has it's share of angry and confused 18 year old males.
Only America makes it easy for them to go shoot up a mall, a church, a school.

Many people have expressed fear of visiting because we are perceived as a dangerous country where people are just murdered at random. Fairly accurate.
