Now -- Active Shooter Practice...and it sure as fuck did not seem to work in TX.
When this news bulletin hit today about the latest mass shooting, I was sitting and chatting with a friend who is 77 years old and he and I could not believe what today's students face.
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?????
In my opinion: The NRA funded the GOP and they did their own "great lie" that the government is going to take your guns away...step, by little step by step, give 'em an inch and the govt will take a mile and soon, you will not be allowed to have any guns.
Peace to those who lost their lives and to their families and loved ones.

(14,061 posts)When I was in school, the worst that happened was a rare fistfight. And most of the time, that turned out to be rumor and never happened.
I dont know how Id feel about sending my kids out the door, if they were school age today.
And yes, the NRA and its endless bullshit is at the core of this. I think, too, its legislators more worried about keeping their jobs than serving their constituents, because they are bought and sold a hundred times over by special interests
This country is broken, literally from top to bottom.

(If we were bus students, we got to sew crepe paper on the hems...YUCK!)
I don't even recall a fist fight....
