rightwingers including @DrPaulGosar have been spreading misinformation that the shooter in texas was a trans woman, using random photos they pulled from reddit. the person in the photos is currently posting on reddit in apparent horror that her photos were used in this way.
Reddit post: "They are my pics. people are using to make trans people look like murderers and blaming me for the shooting"
Reddit comment: "That's me I'm not the shooter"
Reddit comment: "Couse it wasn't me, the shooter is dead, and I don't live in Texas Do some fact checks befor you harass an innocent person"

My wife read on twitter that apparently a trans person had their image lifted off the internet and attached to the killer. And that the trans person is aware this happened

If I was that person I would be saving Gosar’s tweets and getting a lawyer TOMORROW to sue him for slander.
