Adam Kinzinger

I will say this while watching him on ABC This Week.

I wish he would remain in Congress. There are things I would still vehemently disagree with him on but he seems like one of the sane ones. He is evolving on the gun issue so much that his NRA rating went from an "A" to an "F". He is in agreement with Chris Murphy on several things on Gun Reform.

I agree that Adam Kinzinger should remain in the House. But he can also do a lot of good behind the scenes too.

Perhaps the photos of the children who were killed is beginning to resonate with those with kids. Because shit like this can and does happen in the least of suspected of places.

Growth of the big county & the overall loss of one seat for Illinois shifted the boundaries.
The new lines have his town part of more rural, south & west, red areas.
That crowd hates him, so he went from winning elections 2:1, to having almost no primary chance.
The OP is correct. He's a Reagan type republican, so folks around here would disagree with him on almost anything. But, he's not a raving maniac.

And while there may be cracks, every one will vote the part line.

Because they are cowards.

Or they are true believers.

The party formerly known as republicans is composed of fascists and sociopaths. Full stop.

The Republicans are trying to bow out of the general election debates to save Trump from being demolished in them. But I don't see how they get Trump out of primary debates. That's probably the main thing blocking Trump from the Republican nomination: someone like Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger saying, "So you think Putin's move to invade Ukraine was 'genius?' Can you help us with an explanation for why you think so?"

Heck, Trump's familiar with the concept of betrayal. It's one of his biggest personal talents. It's not only Cheney and Kinzinger he has to worry about. Pence and DeSantis won't be kind to Trump either.
