He's getting bad advice, because conditions in many hospitals used to house the criminally insane are worse than an actual prison.

You have to be either unable to control your behavior (you didn't know what you were doing), or you don't realize your act was wrong or unlawful. TFG knew damn well what he was doing, and he didn't care whether it was wrong or illegal. TFG is mentally messed up - he's a psychopath and a narcissist - but he's not psychotic.

6. When the end of the road comes nearer I can see him asserting an insanity defense and

then negotiating to spend the rest of his life at Mar-a-Lardo. His SS detail and presidential pension won't be stripped from him. All he'd need is a full time nursing staff. And, when climate change damages/destroys his Mar-a-Lardo he'll get gov't money for repairs. Even if he is ordered to have no phone or internet access and never to leave Mar-a-Lardo and is stripped of his Trump investments he will live a comfortable life having done what he does best --- screw everyone who has ever worked for him.

Are his loyal followers insane too? All the ChumpHumpers in Congress? The idiots who participated the Insurrection/Big Lie? Because they ALL KNEW they were doing the bidding of an insane person, and they all did it anyway.
