So, early thus AM I'm llstening to BBC talking about literacy...

in South Africa. Then they start to go around the world and I hear Dollybooks before they go on to another program

Dolly Books?

Is there nothing she doesn't stick those elegant fingertips into? Some of you may know abou this, but it's completely passed me by.

Turns out that she's always wanted to do something about literacy. Her father never learned to read, and he was far from alone in the area. She's given away over 1.5 million books through various literacy programs.

We need a lot more Dolly Partons and a lot fewer politicians

Dolly Parton would be a billionaire today if she didn't give away so much of her money to charity throughout her career...

Not sure if it's true, but I'm willing to believe it.
