(49,036 posts)It discusses Jeffrey Clark and the thread doesn't seem to mention Empty Greene at all.

(10,064 posts)Voters in her district seem to think that a kook who believes in overturning the government of the United States is more important to represent them than someone with knowledge of how to govern AND the laws every member of Congress swears an oath to uphold.

(129,441 posts)And I saw some commentary both from TV pundits and on DU yesterday musing about how the "institutions held". And that was after we are seeing the corruptness that had already infested it.
And thankfully (so far) at least even the looniest of them were not ready or in position to literally blow up the place.
But as more and more people like MTG and Boebert and Cawthorn get funded and elected to office, they build up resumes to the point where they eventually CAN be "promoted" into positions of power in the future, where they could blow it all up.
Who would have thought the bar would go lower than a Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, or Steve King? But here we are!
