about the cutesy ways the nominees were able to dodge a full disclosure of their true aims and opinions re: Roe v. Wade. THEY LIED. THEY ARE LIARS.
We have liars on the SC of the United States.

(17,984 posts)They lied under oath. Collins is disappointed, so is Manchin. To think, they lied under oath to Congress. Where is the subpoenas for those 3 who lied?

(2,647 posts)They were appointed by republicans.
Shouldn't blame the entire SC. Blame just the republicans who infect that branch of the government.
republicans are a blight on our Democracy. They prove it daily.

(17,984 posts)We need to check if the others did. They need to be subpoenaed, just like anyone else who lied to Congress. Where is the Senate and Justice Department? They had no problem going after other members. And the Court is the third branch of Government.

(2,647 posts)That's what republicans do. Did any of the Democratic nominees lie to Congress? I think not. Only the republicans.
But then there is always this: IOKIYAR.

If you lie in court
If you lie to Congress, maybe not so much.

(15,536 posts)The Handmaid of the SC is OK with lying. Her religion teaches her that it's OK to lie as long as she tells a priest behind the curtain that she did and is "forgiven" for that. Just say three Hail Marys and all is well.

(58,785 posts)Just because we haven't done it before doesn't mean we can't do it. This court's level of bad faith, betrayal of principles, and service to political, wealth and religious interests over the constitution far exceeds any in the history of our nation.
If enough people come to object, it can happen. Republicans might well prefer removing a couple of the most extreme to avoid need to expand the court.
