Because I don't give a fuck. Your reproductive care is your business, not mine. I give not a single fuck about the decisions you make for your body.
If you choose to take birth control, that's great for you. IDGAF.
If your religion dictates that you will not get an abortion because you think it's murder, that's great for you. IDGAF.
If you want to have sex with a different person every night, that's great for you. IDGAF.
If you find yourself pregnant and you want to terminate that pregnancy, that's fine by me. IDGAF.
I don't give fuck about your choices you make about your body, you shouldn't give a fuck about mine. I don't believe life begins at conception and I don't give a fuck if you do. It is not my place to dictate anyone else's life. I am in charge of no one but myself. I am none of your concern and you are none of mine. I support the pro-choice movement and abortion rights because I believe you should mind your own fucking business and stop giving a fuck about anyone's business.

(1,535 posts)Please know I am with you in general. The whole point of CHOICE is to let everyone choose for themselves. So, staying out of the way of people's choices is very important.
But I do see a limit to the scope of your stated IDGAFs. People really do, and should, give a fuck when it comes to the public's interest in the management of infectious disease.
And IMO, applying basic principles of Public Health, we really must care about some of those people who you don't give a fuck about having sex with different people every night, because that practice is very high risk for spreading serious infectious disease to vulnerable people across society.
Consequently, as a society we need to identify carriers, and trace and treat, as needed, contacts of known carriers of serious infectious diseases not only to provide care to the sick, but as part of limiting the spread of such infectious diseases within society.
I support choice in abortion rights, central to that is the priority of a woman's right to choose how she may manage her reproductive status, including legal, safe, unchallenged on-demand abortions of fetuses yet incapable of survival outside the womb. Of course sex/reproductive education and access to contraception and medical care are necessary to equip every generation to exercise such choice

(8,252 posts)being reckless.
I always say "Live your life. Do whatever you want to do as long as you don't harm anybody." I actually debated including that in my OP but I wanted to really drive home the point.
I'll use the example of guns because my DGAF attitude can sound contradicting on the issue of guns because it may sound like "IDGAF what you do except with guns. You can't what you want to do with guns." However, the difference is that a gun is a tool can used to harm those who are here walking the Earth among the living.
There is a certain amount of reasonableness to freedoms, and freedoms shouldn't be used for carelessness and/or recklessness.
