You know how it's bullshit?

The same Karen who can’t wear a mask because it’s her body and her choice is just fine with being forced to give birth to her rapists child, then be court ordered to give up custody and pay him child support to raise the kid.

6. Yup. Karen knows how to get a discrete abortion in a nice setting - perhaps a vacation.

Come home with a tan and a flat belly. Tell inquisitive minds that she had a D&C.

Many of us readers could go back50-60 years and tell horrific stories about what happened in the abortion arena when it was illegal.
AND stories about no birth control pills, IUDs etc.

8. I've been part of each of these: helping abortions, birth control pills, and IUDs. Nothing's perfect

1968 - trip to Juarez to help with a friend's abortion. Wasn't successful and had to be treated later - dangerous situation.
1969 - first child born while wife on birth control
1971 - second child born along with the IUD.

I'm joyous about my children, but I was able to support our young family way back then. That's not true for many/most families nowadays.

Edited: I then decided that as a man I needed to have some control. I had a vasectomy and have never regretted it.

..that won't change their minds about other women have reproductive rights, won't advocate for change for the masses bc it's just about their rights. Although, not all Caucasian-American belonging to republiklan party are wealthy--read that when ffg took office he was shown a chart of groups on Medicaid, he pointed to this one, and that, then came to the largest piece of the pie chart--whose that, he asked [bc dumdum can't read the chart table himself] someone in the room remarked...white people. [Note: I'll search for source and edit.] So..the overturning of Roe v Wade and most if not all republikklan policies will affect the very poor among us including republican base. That brings me to what LBJ said..

President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”

Ps. Some women will be obliging and make more babies. Hell, as we've seen they'll even die, go to prison for GOP ..the ffg!

9. These loons stole the "My body, my choice" mantra

from the women's reproductive rights movement to garner some "protest" talking points for the news cycle, not caring that they deploy the "long arms of government" for their health mandates that not only solely impacts a woman's health choices, but seeks to control her by acting in lieu of her medical providers.

They'll fly to NYC "to go shopping." They don't care how many other people will die or face their lives ruined.

12. Just look at the origin of Abortion issue and the GOP

It started as a issue to attract Southern Evangelicals who wanted to keep their White Christian Academies tax-exempt status. The GOP thought “segregation” not the best way to attract more to their Party (so they could beat Jimmy Carter) so Abortion it was. Up until the 80’s, Abortion was only an issue amongst Catholics
