"We shoulda/coulda/woulda---" does little to tell us how we permitted a 6-3 RWNJ majority

be seated on the SCOTUS.

We "shoulda" done something.

We "coulda" done something.

If only we "woulda" done something.

Sadly, most of us SAID something but DID NOTHING.

Yeah, I know: "Surely now, SOMEONE will do SOMETHING!"

We coulda expanded SCOTUS. We know who all is against that.

We coulda killed the filibuster. We all know who is against that.

Until every single Dem is willing to go to the mat, to fight as dirty as the Rethugs, we’re sunk.

when it is to their detriment?

There's nothing to do but vote and try to help others vote and try to persuade others to vote Democratic. That also can be a long arc with no immediate gratification - but you might have been one of 1000 pieces that leads someone someday to change their mind.

In the end, 2016 came down to voting. Some couldn't see a difference. Some didn't see the importance of SC nominations. Some didn't show up. Some were all of the above. Trump won due to a perfect storm, including a not-insignificant amount of apathy and indifference.

In the end, all we needed to do was show up in larger numbers than Trump's voters. For a variety of reasons, that didn't happen. The trick is to learn something from it.

It's really not a mystery. Turnout is often the key to everything.

Stealing one election we know of, and then attempting it again.

I look forward to the documentary film after this shithouse goes up in flames. I can hear the British narrator laying it all out, with the Democratic Party as a 50 year long Neville Chamberlain twilight zone episode.
