First, it wasn't an empire. It was a household products business worth $150 million, tops. BTW: that includes $125 million in debt. $25 million of equity is not an empire.
Second, "crumbling"? Revenue was already down 35%, THEN Target dumped him. It crumbled several months ago.
Finally, a sudden shift to an unrelated product line is not the way to rebuild a brand.
Mikey's brain damage has ruined his company. Probably should have quit crack sooner.

(50,559 posts)All kidding aside, Lindell's biggest problem in business is the vast majority of his product line is things you buy either once or - MAYBE - once a year. His second problem is the vast majority of his product line is crap.
Coffee, on the other hand, is bought frequently and there are a lot of good roasters who will work with him.
