"What are the Democrats going to do?"

I heard this question asked on Morning Joe.

I think a better question might be: "What are the Republicans going to do?"

It is they that are supporting and voting for the fascists that are tearing down this country. It is they that support a Supreme Court that changes the country in a momentous and dangerous way with a 5/4 vote. They are purely political.

This is the same Court that just a day or two before over-turning Roe, decided it was legal for everyone to have a concealed weapon in public.

It's gotten to the point where you may need a weapon to protect yourself from the fascists.

The Democrats have done everything they thought possible to make this country safer, more civilized, more fair, more equal, and better for all of our citizens.

But, it is the Republicans that have hooked their wagon to the fascists' star.

Republicans should stop pointing their fingers at the Democrats and complaining about all their grievances and get off their fascist asses and do something about it. If we lose our democracy and our country, Republican voters need only to look in the mirror.

Don't ask, "What are the Democrats going to do for our country?"

"Ask what are the Republicans going to do for our country?"

1. The problem is that anything Republicans do isn't FOR our country

it is TO our country.

I can't recall the last time they did anything helpful.

2. But there are many Republican voters that are deceived into voting against their own interests..

...and the interests of our country, for purely partisan reasons.

They are standing with the fascists. Those are the ones that have to look in the mirror.

about that. Facts don't matter to them, never have.

Now? I don't talk to them at all. It's just an exercise in frustration.

More abuse....more Christianity shoved down our throats.....more corporate control of our daily lives....more destruction of the planet....more GOPers shoved onto government boards....more cuts to basic social programs....rich get richer.....state control gets more oppressive.....

More Abuse of the masses by the filthy rich. Less democracy, less comfortable lives, less pay, less intelligence more idioacy.

Dems can’t message
Dems won’t fight
Dems don’t vote
Dems are wimps

Endless carping about and blaming of Democrats by the MSM gets taken up by party regulars and it is corrosive to our cause. The MSM IS NOT OUR FRIEND.

THis is not the fault of Democrats this is the fault of REPUBLICANS and their apps in the MSM , most recently obsessed with Trump. Let’s stop playing into their narrative.

Exactly as Kentuk says… What are Republicans for?

I turned off Samantha Bee because she said "unfortunately, Democrats are nowhere to be found with solutions." BULLSHIT. Some kind of psychological scapegoating thing always kicks in and everyone starts blaming Democrats and whining that they have magic wands and bully pulpits and won't use them because both sides or whatever the hell the fantasy about Democrats not stopping Republicans is.

10. It infuriates me too. It is so fashionable these days to blame Democrats for what Republicans do.

Thereby letting Republicans completely off the hook. Twitter and Reddit are cesspools. Even see it at DU sometimes.

for the Party leadership to be very clear and straightforward about what they will do, especially given this Dobbs decision and the expected EPA decision.

Now is the time, more than ever before, for the party to say “you voters need to give us 60 senators [or whatever the number is] and we can save abortion rights. We can push our climate change legislation; etc; etc”

You have Elizabeth Warren voicing it and Bernie Sanders but where is the everyone else? This is one that Joe Biden should stay out of this one and let the Democratic senators be the rebels on this one. The Senators have to be united and forceful in their stance and they have to be the ones to say it.
