There is a lot of blame and criticism directed towards capitalism.

capitalism isn't the problem directly. Our economic model allows incredible growth and opportunity, and works because it harnesses individual greed to expand the economy. Societies that have attempted collectivist governance largely failed (USSR, Cuba, Maoist China as well known examples) because they removed that incentive for risk and growth, while not removing human greed - they just moved it into government.

The key is to better harness and reallocate the wealth generated by capitalism. The key is to balance it, milk the cash cow of the 1% and big business but not slaughtering them. Undo the trump tax cuts for the rich. Require stock buybacks, stock options, and executive bonuses to be matched in bonus payouts to non-executive employees. Make corporate taxes scale with corporate size; tax big businesses harder to mitigate the economies of scale that make it so hard for small business to grow and compete. Work towards the elimination of property taxes on primary residences and find better ways to fund education at the state level.

Say no to asset confiscation and nationalization of businesses/industries. Our country's economy creates an incredible amount of wealth and growth - it's just going mostly to the wrong people. We need to fix who is enriched while maintaining the system that creates it.
