In 2016, we were the civil adults in the room". Republicans killed the Garland SCOTUS

nomination with their unprecedented refusal to even consider it.

In 2017, we again played the "civil adults in the room" role. The Republicans gleefully put Gorsuch into what should have been Garland's seat on the SCOTUS.

In 2018, we "CAITR" clucked and wrung our hands as "I like beer" Kavanaugh, credibly accused of sexual assault, was rammed through the Senate after his massive personal debts somehow "disappeared."

In 2020, weeks before the presidential election, Amy Coney-Barrett, a woman who believes God has ordained that women be ruled by men, was installed on what had become "Trump's court". We adults in the room civilly wagged our fingers at naughty Mitch.

I would be more descriptive, but I am a civil adult, so I'll just say that it is obvious that the SCOTUS now does its business in what used to be known as the "red light district".

What could go wrong?
