Serious question about donations

If I have $50 a month to donate to one or more causes, candidates or progressive non profits, should I split it 25 ways? The way I see it, Planned Parenthood, AbortionFunds, NARAL, Beto O'Rourke, Val Demings, Moms Demand Action, even the Democratic Party (just to name a few off the top of my head) all are in dire need of funds. And there are dozens if not hundreds more. So for those of us with limited, but some, funds to give, what's the best strategy?

Check to see how many fingers are dipping in the pie.

One charity I checked on had two separate groups taking a percentage as it came in.

Some take a fixed amount and a percentage.

That one whittles down a small donation much more than a single percentage.

In that case, make several large donations rather than many small donations.

If you are able, donating once is a more efficient use of the dollars.

($12 once is more efficient than $1 twelve times) 30 cents

But be certain about the exact name of the group. For instance, if you put in Planned Parenthood, you will get every state or regional Planned Parenthood group in the country, as well as anti-Planned parenthood groups. They do provide a link to donate to each rated charity so you can be sure you are donating to the one that has earned the scores.

On the other hand, Planned Parenthood Federation of America gets a top rating from Charity Navigator:

This charity's score is 90.05, earning it a 4-Star rating. Donors can "Give with Confidence" to this charity.

This score is calculated from two sub-scores:

Finance: 86.51 View details

Accountability & Transparency: 96.00

There are more than one NATIONAL NETWORK OF ABORTION FUNDS listed - the top rated one is out of Austin, Texas:

NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation

This charity's score is 91.45, earning it a 4-Star rating. Donors can "Give with Confidence" to this charity.

This score is calculated from two sub-scores:

Finance: 95.00 View details

Accountability & Transparency: 89.00

Right now so many organizations, and candidates need money. Small donations do add up!

I also am going to start donating again next month. I probably have around 40$ - 70$ a month to send.

That's $4 million a month to each of your 25 causes. It does add up.

2 ways. $25 recurring to a local charity. IE a homeless shelter or food bank

$25 to a different large charity or directly to a political candidate every month,
