convince the Right that some of these laws are going to also take their rights away. i.e. Conservative women who are affected by stillbirths are not immune to what, medically, could go wrong. Or, prisoners who felt railroaded by an incompetent lawyer will get a wake up call. All under the rule of unintended consequences.
Bottomline, remember those testimonials that conservatives ran before every campaign, and it involved actors, not real victims? Well, do the same but be honest about the reenactments.

A) they have reptilian brains that react only to hunger, sex, and anger; B) they have chips on their shoulders the size of Texas -- they were shafted from childhood, through school, and the workplace; they blame "elites" -- teachers and bosses, as well as minorities, for their woes. They revel in rolling in their resentment, which was played like a piano concerto by TFG. Totally lacking in empathy, if their daughter comes up preggers...well it's just another way THEY (not the daughter) got screwed by the elitist lefties.

(6,544 posts)The GQP leadership is thrilled with this, and the SCOTUS have lifetime appointments. The rank and file are hear only what they want to hear, are too stupid to know the difference and are thrilled to be "owning the libs".
We need to convince the MIDDLE that the right is their enemy.

(46,720 posts)as family disasters become more prevalent. Only then will some of them see a wake-up call.
By the way, my mother would call these things that throw a family off course from a good, normal life, a desgracia. Essentially, a life altering personal misfortune. She was incredibly paranoid, and sometimes unpleasant to live with, because she was always on guard to make sure we didn't do anything that would lead us down the road to such an event horizon. Which was a constant nightmare for her, since growing up during the sixties, American life was a Pied Piper.

Winning deep blue urban districts by 90% instead of 70% doesn't help if the suburbs start going red again.
538 launched their statistical model for midterms, and their data analysis has the pubs very likely to take the house.
Betting markets are also heavily favoring the Pubs taking the house. PredictIt has us at about a 15% chance - up from 10% before the Dobbs decision.
