When the national anthem is played or the pledge of allegiance performed...

...from now on I will remain seated, arms crossed, head bowed, silent. Or if standing, I will cross my arms, bow my head, and remain silent.

I am in mourning for my freedom and the America I loved and held dear.

I hope that more and more women will remain silent on such occasions. I hope men who value freedom will join us. They have taken our voice. Let only theirs chant the rituals of an increasingly fascist state.

sadly,
Bright

when GWB was elected. I will not stand, the country wants nothing from me but sex and babies. I am too old for the baby part but I feel like less of a citizen than I did last month and I did not feel like anyone respected us as citizens anyway so......pass the damned ERA so we can take care of this. Then and only then will I maybe participate in "your" rituals.

restarted. I turn the channel when tv/radio broadcast it.

Also, our national anthem is a trash song. Very garbage. An embarrassment.

After the anthem, several males remained standing and chanted "U.S.A., U.S.A.!" Each one pumped the air with one fist while the other hand held a paper cup of beer. I have not been to a hockey game since.

7. Not me. I didn't fly my flag while tfg was in "power". But I flew it the day Biden was elected.

I'm not a big patriotic holiday person, but my parents, immigrants from England, loved the 4th. They're gone, but I'll decorate my yard as always just for them.

I served in the USAF, and I'll honor my fellow vets by flying my flag from the porch. Letting the republicans win on this? No offing way, no thanks. No defeat here.
