A District Attorney on MSNBC just brought up a potential chilling side effect of abortion bans

The segment was with DAs that say they will not prosecute abortion cases. One of them said, how could he prosecute a rapist, a case involving incest, and then turn around and prosecute the victim of that rape? Further traumatizing the victim. He further stated, rape victims may be afraid to come forward if they think they may go to jail.

Easier to get away with rape.

And rapists get an incentive to rape, it becomes just another way to breed.

Rapists can use this as a way to maintain a perpetual threat to the woman. I raped you - you had my child. Because of this, I have a a legal right to be with you and can rape you with impunity. I control you utterly, I own your body, and you can't do anything about it.

I’m certain the good DA realizes that’s a feature, not a bug, in the eyes of the Republican forced birthers.
