I see a reason to fight

Not for me. I couldn't care less about myself. Over the last 2 years I've experienced what happiness was when I finally beat my dysphoria. I achieved what I wanted ultimately. But I look at my cousins. One being 22 and the other 11. The youngest of course being a female. I look at her and I see the only reason I need to fight.

She is it. I want her to live in an America that isn't christofascist authoritarian hellscape. I want her to see days of happiness and freedoms for all. She is a kid and deserves to be so until she grows up on her own terms. Not forced by a hellish climate brought on by the right.

I look at them both. I see our future. And if worst comes to pass when we are at war. I'm fine with laying my life down for them. I've accepted that now and I know dying is better knowing i can keep them free than have them oppressed. I hope everyone can switch that mentality on. Because these kids deserve a place to live and grow up without fascists ruining the world and their lives. So I'm ready. More ready than I ever have been.

Live free or die.

I’ll fight if necessary. I pray it doesn’t come to that and I don’t think it will. I still maintain faith in our people.

I hope so, since that would do a lot more for the cause than the always popular but all-too-nebulous "fighting."

Hes an extremely intelligent young man. He sees all the problems coming and he votes.

It seems like so many young people want to "fight," but when it comes to actually voting -- the one that has led us to this point and the one thing that will lead us out -- they want to trash Democrats because it gets them social media clout (from a lot of divisive Republican and Russian trolls, I'm sure).

And he is definitely not. He works 2 jobs and goes to trade school for welding. He sees the problems coming and we constantly talk about it
