After the Downfall of the Republican Empire in 2027 how will movies portray them?
I am currently assuming, and I think it is a pretty good assumption, that unless there is an interesting event that saves us, the Supreme Court will entirely hand over our government to fascists in 2024 and the votes will hardly matter one bit.Then I expect the Republican version of the Night of the Long Knives, will consolidate the power to a single individual. Probably the Permanent President, but it could be the High Justice or even the Speaker of America.
I expect that the wealthy will find themselves squeezed much the way Putin squeezed his oligarchs and a lot of those who caused this will find their money changing hands.
Then as things happen when real greed and stupidity without reason or compassion goes to the extreme, I expect the idiot Republican dream to fall and fall hard.
I probably won't witness it. They will know how we voted. A lot of people won't witness it. Between the wars waged to keep the nation united and the purging of minorities, a lot of us will be long gone when the nation starts to rebuild from the ruins the Republicans made. I won't be there to scream, "Follow the money!" As our Nuremberg hearings progress, hopefully we have fascist hunters with long memories going after the wealthy that caused all of this.
In the end, what will be left is humorous bits like this.
The deaths of so many of us, caused by six monstrous judges and a small number of wealthy, slimy fascists, will make a nice "never forget," list. The tools of the revolution, the racist hate groups paid for by the wealthy, slimy fascists, will have already been thrown under the bus or feature prominently at the latest incarnation of Nuremberg.
Perhaps the fascist wealth will be taken. The survivors will need it to manage all the issues with climate change that were made even worse by the fascist takeover six judges implemented. Perhaps the ones that follow us will be wiser.
When I was in third grade, most of our fathers had served in WWII and fought fascism. I remember entire classes of children asking why the Germans allowed Hitler to take over. Why was nothing done? Today, those children have all grow up and most have retired. The majority of those I grew up with who wondered how Hitler managed to take over voted for TFG. The majority of those children who wondered who would be so weak as to allow a fascist movement will be right there cheering the fascist takeover, right up until they realize the retirement benefits they have been counting on are now gone.
While I may find myself rounded up early on, the deaths of my fascist enabling peers will be worse. We already know their children won't lift a mask to save them. The hippies turned fascist that were our older brothers and sisters, will have to spend all they have and inherited to try and stay alive. Their fascist children will probably not inherit the nest egg they were hoping for. All of their dreams will be as dust.
