Joel Greenberg, an associate of Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, has highlighted his cooperation with numerous investigations ahead of his sentencing for child sex trafficking crimes being set.
--snip--
Elsewhere, one of Greenberg's friends, Joe Ellicott, is due to be sentenced on August 8 after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and drug charges.
As part of his guilty plea, Ellicott also agreed to "cooperate fully with the United States in the investigation and prosecution of other people," according to court documents seen by Politico.
One of Ellicott's attorneys, Joseph Zwick, told CNN in January that Ellicott had met with federal investigators to discuss what he knows regarding the claims which are the focus of the Justice Department investigation into the Florida congressman.

So... We have Greenberg being sentenced sometime in Aug, exact date not yet revealed. Right around sentencing is when we will find out some of the meat of the deal Greenberg made... What he had on Gaetz. Then we have Aug 8th when Ellicott gets sentenced. He is also giving up information on Gaetz so I think we can also expect some of the meat he has given up... It will be interesting.

(16,101 posts)You are standing six feet away from the wall. With every step, you go half way. How long will it take for you to reach the wall?
The answer is never. Because no matter how small the steps, you are only going half way.
Sometimes all of this stuff feels that way.
May I be entirely wrong, and may there be actual consequences for Gaetz.

(16,101 posts)The teacher had us all stand around the room, facing the walls. Probably not 6 feet away. Anyway, we all tried the experiment and of course, several of us gave her specific numbers. I don't recall what I did.
Great way to visualize the concept of infinity.

(16,698 posts)An engineer, a physicist, and a math professor are taken into a large room.
They are seated at one end. A curtain opens at the other end and there is a beautiful naked woman.
They are told they can approach, but only by decreasing the distance between them by half with each effort.
The physicist and the professor both stay seated. "We can never get there" they say.
The engineer gets up and starts running.
"Yeah, but I can get close enough", says the engineer.

(5,835 posts)gaetz received his medal of freedom in a secret ceremony on 11 jan 2021. i'm pretty sure trump would have laid a pardon on him then.
i may be wrong, but greenberg would not be sentenced until after gaetz trial/plea in order to insure cooperation. .
