1. I don't know if he had "approval" authority,

but I think I remember Dianne Feinstein's husband had the government contract to deal with the leasing of a number of Post Office buildings around the country that were being decommissioned.

5. The lease was signed in 2013, but the hotel didn't open until 2016.

And as with anything government, there were a whole lot of different people in the GSA responsible.
