I hope the missing texts are recoverable on servers somewhere.

Seems like they have the same person running comms as Uvalde did.

Secret service now on record that none of the texts the OIG was seeking were lost in the migration. Better hope that’s accurate— Won’t be able to walk it back easily if it’s wrong.Looking forward to discussing on @AliciaOnMSNBC w/ guest host @KatiePhang & @MalcolmNance at 7 pm ET

evidence from the DHS OIG and Jan 6 Committee, and a very clumsy one. Why did they do that? What were they trying to hide with the "oops, we deleted them, so we can't give them to you" gambit? And who was responsible for that cover up attempt?

Also, from the thread replies:

"Doesn't that raise the question of why the J6 committee doesn't have them yet?"

It's kinda like getting a recording of a 911 call....contemporaneous statements as a crime is happening. Prosecutors always requested copies immediately from agencies because usually the retention of those calls was around 30 days.

Remember that trump was there until the 20th, so you know his admin did nothing to try and preserve evidence..... But it's been 18 fucking months.

I know I read that Schiff sent a preservation notice to the secret service before the committee was even formed, but I don't understand how no one requested them before now.

This stuff really goes against everything I know and experienced as a defense attorney.

I'm sure they've gone through every text and email from those dates and sanitized any questionable "evidence."
I mean after all, they've had over 18 months to get it done.
