I'd love to see him go, and I hope our candidate over performs.
But I'm afraid in the end, it'll be like McConnell's race in Kentucky. He's always vulnerable until election day.
Well established political machines are tough to beat.

Ridiculous he's still in power.

Same age as Feinstein, who also should not be in the Senate, especially because that's a safe seat that could and should go to a young progressive.

He almost certainly doesn't intend to serve another term. He'll probably retire shortly after the new year begins - allowing the governor to pick a replacement who will then have two years of incumbency to lock down the seat.
