The family of a Black man gunned down by San Bernardino police are demanding the officers involved be charged for shooting him in the back as he ran away.
San Bernardino cops have asked their community to withhold judgment after security footage circulated of officers fatally shooting 23-year-old Robert Adams, claiming the video fails to provide any details or context as to what occurred in the incident.
For Adams family, however, the video tells the whole story: An officer opened fire on Adams as he ran the opposite direction, never firing a shot of his own.
It is unbelievable that another Black family has to bury their child due to police shooting first and asking questions later, Ben Crump, the familys attorney, said in an emailed statement Tuesday.
Crump later tweeted that Adams didnt realize the unmarked car had police inside, calling his death a horrific execution.

(93,469 posts)... is a whites mostly/only law, blacks can't have guns in America.
The NRA will ignore this like they have other unneeded shootings of black people

(93,469 posts)... clearly shot in the back and the LEOs on the scene are not providing the quick explanations they would be providing if the shooting was justified.

(9,947 posts)I was a truck driver. If I had a fatal or injury accident one minute past my hours of my allotted service time, I'd likely go to prison, and be sued for everything the lawyer could get his or her hands on.
Why should a cop be any different?

(3,818 posts)and then the families raise nine kinds of hell because their family member was shot, but guns or running are NEVER mentioned as contributing factors.
THIS IS NO WAY AN ENDORSEMENT OF COPS SHOOTING ANYONE IN THE BACK OR ANYWHERE ELSE but why run? That's what someone with a guilty conscience would do...oh, guarding an illegal gambling operation and walked up on the cops with a gun in his hand.
How do they know that he wasn't aware that the unmarked car had police inside? I am not seeing that statement from anyone other than the family lawyer? If he was running, when did he have time to tweet?
I don't know...I would definitely hate to be on either side in situations like this.
