AT LEAST 400 confirmed cases.

COVID-19 outbreaks have hit Los Angeles International Airport with at least 400 confirmed cases among Transportation Security Administration staff and workers at American and Southwest airlines, according to county health officials.

At least 233 TSA staffers at LAX have tested positive for the coronavirus since an outbreak was first detected among workers June 9, according to the L.A. County Department of Public Health.

The TSA outbreak would be the largest active outbreak being monitored by the department, which records outbreaks at residential care facilities, workplaces, food and retail stores, homeless service locations, schools, jails, law enforcement settings and courts.

TSA officials, however, said the county’s numbers were not reflective of current infections.

Mask up. Social distance. Get vaccinated.

but I don't think people would be exactly thrilled at what I said.
We should be doing a lot more. We can do a lot more. It's absolutely infuriating we're not.

My mom shouldn't have died because of a selfish nurse who refused to follow the rules in late 2019 and brought Covid into the building at the Assisted Living place where she was. The nurse decided to attend a huge Thanksgiving family dinner with zero precautions. She wound up killing almost 20 people, my mom 1 of them.

The amount of anger, sorrow, hurt, & pain many of us have had to deal with these last nearly 3 years is remarkable and very difficult.
At some point I really need to just sit down and type out a gigantic "my story" for DU but I worry about doing so because I don't feel I could fully honest with how we're not supposed to criticize Democrats. And I don't know how to write it otherwise because yes there are issues and some are very large. It's very much a 2 way street though and Republicans are just horrific with the amount of misinformation & outright gaslighting disinformation which they tell people in order to manipulate their fears.

Truth be told I've been crying every night when I go bed since December 12th, the date she passed because I miss her so much.
It was incredibly traumatizing & I wish nobody having to say their goodbyes on a Zoom call while a loved one literally takes their last breaths of life.....

I hear you and it appalls me how so many people cannot be bothered to take simple steps to prevent such spread. I do know the zoom call experience, my severely autistic brother died in hospice of Parkinson's last year, I could not visit him...I Skype called him but was never convinced he knew who I was, he seemed confused.

During the last three years.

I was quite naïve.
