GOP congressman attends gay son's wedding 3 days after opposing protections for same-sex marriage

https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/25/politics/glenn-thompson-attends-gay-sons-wedding-after-opposing-protections/index.html

(CNN)GOP Rep. Glenn Thompson attended his gay son's wedding last week, three days after opposing a bill in the US House that would enshrine protections for same-sex marriage into federal law, CNN has confirmed.

Thompson's office said in a statement that the Pennsylvania congressman and his wife were "thrilled" to attend the nuptials and are "very happy" to welcome a new son-in-law into the family.

"Congressman and Mrs. Thompson were thrilled to attend and celebrate their son's marriage on Friday night as he began this new chapter in his life," Maddison Stone, a spokeswoman for Thompson, said in the statement. "The Thompsons are very happy to welcome their new son-in-law into their family."

5. What makes you think anybody knew before the wedding?

I’m sure the dad didn’t make the announcement at the wedding. I’m sure it was t even brought up until this article after the wedding. The couple still may be unaware due to being on honeymoon. I’m shocked by the thought, that everyone is as aware of every single thing in politics. They are not! We are rare and most of us wouldn’t know this story except for DU.

"Mom, Dad I want you to meet Person B" starts a whole lot of conversations. I personally do not know either family, I do know when I organized my wedding to another woman, there were LOTS & LOTS of questions from both sides of the families.
You ever organize a wedding?

11. No. But the vote was three days before the wedding.

That’s not enough time to find out anything about a vote when the article was written today.

Is to create a public service advertisement which boldly points out the congressman, his vote, and make some attempt to get some photographs or video of the wedding and then use the words hypocrisy and liar 20 times in a 60 second ad on tv and on the web. In this ad you state boldly again that these people will do the same thing if a family member needs an abortion which the vast number of people will no longer have easy access to. And then say that this is the America that the Republican party is creating and if you don’t like it vote Democrat for everyone from dogcatcher to President.
