Text messages for former President Donald Trumps acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf and acting deputy secretary Ken Cuccinelli are missing for a key period leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, according to four people briefed on the matter and internal emails.
This discovery of missing records for the senior-most homeland security officials, which has not been previously reported, increases the volume of potential evidence that has vanished regarding the time around the Capitol attack.

(26,262 posts)and such, and we have it here w/ the Secret Service texts. Is it solely (the missing texts) of the senior membership of the SS? Or is it only those protecting Pence, tRUMP, a few others?
Why would they hide the texts? Some possible (and disturbing reasons) could be:
(1) tRUMP told his SS detail to keep on track of Pence's location, let his SS detail know where he was at all times (so something nefarious would happen to Pence, not a good thing, tRUMP wasn't at all concerned w/ Pence's health or well-being, he just wanted to bash Pence in);
(2) SS has some renegade agents;
(3) SS has some agents reporting from inside the Capital building, like some of the traitorous republican members of Congress that were reporting on current locations of House members and Pence so harm could come to them;
(4) SS had some disturbing texts distributed among their network from tRUMP to 'grab and harm' Pence, the SS thus deleted the texts to protect tRUMP;
As a former IT guy, heavily involved in multiple system upgrades over 30+ years, it is unheard of to not back up a system prior to being upgraded. What happens when and if a major glitch is discovered? That's why backups occur, so if something major in a negative way is discovered, the IT implementers of the new changes (tech hardware and/or software) can back off, redo at a later time the upgrades.
This is very disturbing to me. And not just because the retention guidelines are being violated, the agents themselves that were involved in this cover-up are in violation of their ethics, and perhaps more.
