31. I don't think you have to sign up to view tweets...

I least, I never did. The thing is, if you click on the twitter icon it opens the tweet. If you scroll down slowly, I repeat, slowly, you can view replies. Every few tweets you have to click on the bottom of the twitter feed “view more replies” and continue scrolling slowly.

The problem is, if you scroll past that point you’ll see “view other tweets”, or something like that, and if you scroll too far into that area a pop up will appear trying to get you to sign up, at which point you have to return to DU, click the twitter link and start over again.

Anyway, that works for me, and I do enjoy reading replies to tweets, especially on threads bashing MTG and Boebert. There are some very amusing people out there. I’d be curious to know if this technique works for everyone, or is it just a weird feature of my iPhone. If you decide to try it then let me know! Thanks.

It is annoying how you can only go about 3 deep and have to click "view more replies", and it is easy to skip over that next "view more replies" and start reading things that are not in the same thread, without knowing it.

The following is what I believe my experience is like, I may have been fooled so take it with a grain of salt, please.

I tried fast scrolling and semi slow and did get a pop-up asking to log to "See more Tweets from".
I don't always get the pop-up
I just hit the back button.

When I click on one of the Users names, I sometimes get that pop-up. It seems I can be successful with right clicking the name and choosing a new tab option. Or Ctrl + click on the name.

For a while I was finding a way, I believe I remember, to change the URL a little to be able to get to a page I wanted to see when Twitter was forcing me to sign in.

I enjoy messing around with little attempts like that!
