Does anyone know what feminist organizations like NOW think about...

... the growing trend to refer to "pregnant people" rather than "pregnant women?" I'm in a total muddle myself. It seems wrong, somehow, to deny people with uteruses a collective voice for all that is associated with that situation. But it also seems wrong to insist that a person who identifies as something other be referred to as a "woman."

Does this trend water down the identify of feminism?

NOW has increasingly used non-gendered terms when talking about pregnancy in its communications.

The law, in its infinite wisdom, bans abortion for pregnant people, be they men or women.

Thus, 'they' might say, "Women are not being singled out, why are you constantly talking about women instead of people?
