Any thoughts on the upcoming special election of NY District 19 on August 23rd?

From what I read on NY times not a lot of Democrats are feeling confident about this race. What gives me hope this that we outperformed in the last two special house district elections so we might just pull of a win but what are people's thoughts that actually live in the district.

It is currently vacant following the resignation of Democrat Antonio Delgado.

After redistricting in 2012, the 19th district comprises all of Columbia, Delaware, Greene, Otsego, Schoharie, Sullivan, and Ulster counties, and parts of Broome, Dutchess, Montgomery, and Rensselaer counties.

The plucked just my hamlet and another hamlet in my town and put us in the 19th. There are 5 hamlets that make of my town.

We are overwhelmingly Democrats here, but I don’t think our votes would have made much of a difference. I’m so glad we got put back in the 20th.

The 19th is an even more rural district now (my town is a suburb of Albany and is very different ideologically than the 19th.) I’ll be shocked if it stay in the D column.

and canvassed for Delgado in his first election. My district is safely D and so we helped out in the 19th. We also did work to help Cobb against Stefanik but unfortunately were unsuccessful.
