I’m seeing social media blow up with people who had begun to get quiet about their trump support. All of a sudden they are as loud as in 2015. And they are spreading a lot of lies straight from FOX and right wing media. Lots of memes and media clips! Lots!

The Democrats need to be ON THIS with the messaging. As of yesterday!!!!

I know people who were beginning to feel embarrassed for previously being on the trump train. Now suddenly they are back on full speed ahead!

The way it’s being framed is the government is attacking trump to prevent him from running against Biden! We are afraid because we know trump will win! This is another Russia hoax. Hillary did worse and her house wasn’t raided! Etc etc.

This is energizing his base and that is not a good thing no matter what! He still lost both times but he can win the electoral college with all the cheating and that would be a disaster for everyone!

7. Democrats and MAGAs are talking in different spaces. The MAGAs won't even hear us.

The Dems are on point with their messaging as guests on MSNBC and probably CNN, which I rarely watch. But the MAGAs aren't tuned in, and they don't trust anything quoted in the Washington Post or NYTimes. And on FOX, guests and anchors are spewing flat out lies, with no Democrats to rebut them.

Edited to add some lies I heard on a recent FOX clip: Trump had declassified everything, and therefore it was ok to keep everything in Maralago. Didn't even mention that there were different levels of classified and that some could only be viewed in specific tightly controlled locations. They didn't even acknowledge that the documents belonged in the National Archives regardless of whether they were classified.

When you start seeing people who had “thin blue line” flags on their trucks posting “F@ck the FBI” you know that will spread.

No one thought Clown Trump would win the nomination. But what happened? His base already by recruiting and energizing. It was like a snowball.

This can snowball. If you’re not on social media rebutting some of the lies then at least support those of us who have the stomach (barely 🤮 to try. I know we can’t convince the hard core. But people who don’t know much see and read the arguments. And they need to know facts.
