There must have been a lot of fighting behind the scenes over what to do about it. These are momentous times. I guess we won't know everything that's happening now, but I think there are going to be some revelations as we move toward prosecuting Trump.

Highest probability for who did it would be Jared. Someone had to go around to potential buyers like Putin, MBS, etc. and ask them, what might be worth your money that our guy has access to while he does? And a shopping list was assembled. Then someone had to go around to the various agencies where the documents were stored collecting them. Again, Jared is at the top of the likely list. It was deliberate and protracted and very deliberate.

Supposedly, top secret classified documents are clearly marked and are kept separately. But there was no such routine in the final days. If these secret documents were among a mishmash of other documents, do we really think that trump was enough of an evil brainiac to know that these important docs were hidden within ?

I hate the MF more than anyone on this planet. But my reaction now is that it was more about "those docs are mine". " I have no earthly idea what the documents are, but they're mine and you are not taking them."

Just remember, it has been written that he couldn't even concentrate on the most simple chart without words, just pictures. Is it likely that he would be able to differentiate documents?

Trump is no mastermind. He doesn't seem to be able to see the consequences of his actions. Not that I think that should get him off the hook, mind you, because I definitely think he should face the firing squad for his numerous "accidents."

There will be a first indictment. Others will follow. And then there will be a noticeable shrinkage in his loyal fandom. Even now, based upon an election, he doesn't have enough votes and he won't expand his cult. So he's on his way to losing even more. The GOP leadership will see that decrease in support and start getting lippy-- not because of his obvious felonies, but because his support will shrink even more. If the base can't challenge the Dems, they're of no use to the leadership.

and multiple witnesses have commented on his motivations for taking all those documents. TFG is a lifelong criminal in his own right and doesn't necessarily need someone to coach him or trick him into it. But if someone did assist him, that person should be prosecuted as well.. to the fullest extent of the law. SMH

Anything with 'Top Secret' etc on it, would seem important to him and potentially be worth money to a foreign power in a fire sale.

Trump had no respect for the running of the government or the country before he took over, nor would he have for what followed him.

But money . . . . well, that is a clown of a different color to him!

They might already have had a considerable trove of documents accumulated over four years. Some more maybe were added at the end but I think they already had the majority of what they wanted in hand.
