All of the presidents do it.
They take classified documents with them when they leave the White House. Some of the documents, they want for a souvenir and some might be of monetary value to them.
But Donald Trump is not an exception. Just because he took Top Secret documents and just because Democrats do not trust him as far as they can throw him, that does not mean he did anything wrong. It is all political.
The Democrats and the FBI just wanted to make Donald Trump look bad and try to keep him from running for the White House in 2024. Everybody knows that.
Even if he was negotiating with the Russians and the Saudis for the best price, it's not that big of a deal. They all do it. They have to make a living after they get out of the White House.
He was trying to cooperate with the NARA and the FBI. He only had the documents for a couple of years. Why should he have thought that after all that time, they would still want the classified documents?
Nobody went after the documents that Barack Obama stole from the White House. There were millions of them.
Donald Trump is the most persecuted president in history.

So I guess that blows that "needs money" crap right out of the water, huh? 😉
Donnie does like making easy money though. If he doesn't have to work for it (has he ever?) that's a big plus in his book.
