2. After 56 years, the universe still has the mystery to

surprise me and fill me with awe every time I think about it, however lightly. Sagan's tv series bit me hard my freshman year in hs, and may have been that first step for me in finally seeing that not everything in the natural world is centered around humans (however often we try to convince ourselves otherwise).
