Mainstream media is lamenting student loan debt relief

The moment that this was announced, reporters everywhere began lamentations and mourning and begin acting like student debt relief was not only evil, but was going to destroy America. Literally, the top story on CNN right now is an attack on Biden masquerading as concern. So bizarre.

I heard no reporters or repukes complaining when Trump gave millions to farmers after his tariff debacle. Of course alot of that money went to corporate farms and people like Sen. Chuck Grassley.

You won't be able to get the $10,000 relief unless you make under $125,000 a year, and they keep talking about how a salary under $125,000 a year is so shocking that virtually no one will qualify. Reporters are so out of touch.

that one. I'm 64, with a Masters in the field I'm working in, and I will never see 6 figures. Ever. That is out of touch.

Although my twenty-something niece who works for a consulting firm does make 6 figures, so I guess salaries are considerably more than they used to be.

I don't watch MSM so I don't know if they're reporting on that story.

I don't have kids, so my taxes go to help people who do to the tune of $3600 per child per year. And I'm Ok with that because I want to live in a society where parents can better care for their children. But a family we 3 kids is seeing $180,000 in tax credits which are direct payments from the government over the 18 years it takes to raise them, so maybe chill about $10K for students.

If something can help the average Joe, they lose their shit over it.

The media looks out for the status quo. Plain and simple.
