From the beginning we all knew this was inevitable.

Before Trump was elected he was not qualified for any type of security clearance. When someone is elected president they automatically get a clearance. The security clearance for president is done through the election process. The people, the news media are supposed to disqualify any candidate who is not fit for president. The Trump voters failed to uphold their sacred duty as an American citizen. They knew Trump was unfit and they did not care.

I recently remembered warning some of my friends and family members when Trump was running for president he could not get a security clearance through the normal process. The Trump voters did not listen. They elected someone who was extraordinarily unqualified and a major threat to national security from day one.

While Trump was president he hired countless people, the worst among us, to positions that required a security clearance. Trump sabotaged the security clearance process. Remember Kushner? The damage to our national security is immeasurable.

From day one I have been saying the Trump voters would become infamous for all time. Their legacy is now set in stone. They are as guilty as Trump. They are also responsible for all the crimes, deaths. ruined lives, Trump has unleashed upon our country.

Fuck Trump and Fuck the Trump voters

We have seen the results of those without all that and it ain’t pretty.

And they changed so often that it was tough to keep track. I remember that Rachel Maddow filled up her walls with the list of ever-changing names.

In Mary Trump's book, she described how various departments, most notably DOJ and State, were decimated during TFG's four years. DOJ, under Sessions, completely ignored the important Civil Rights division - and Justice was formed in 1870 to benefit Freedmen after the Civil War. Jeff Sessions had previously failed to be confirmed for a federal judgeship because of his known views on segregation.

And State likely suffered the worst, career employees resigned in record numbers and there were few applications, destroying necessary continuity for a generation. Another TFG legacy.

Sat Aug 27, 2022, 08:56 AM

Trump clearly demonstrated that in the wrong hands presidential power can be used for harm. The power to appoint corrupt officials to important government roles is just one example. In the past, Americans placed a great deal of trust in the president to follow the norms of conduct and the law while in office. Trump thoroughly betrayed that trust many times as he flouted the law and did whatever he wanted, including stealing government documents he should not have had in the first place.

Why on Earth would the CIA share information on its informants with a man known for inappropriately sharing classified information! And why was such information, once shared, even left in the White House so Trump could steal it?

The whole concept of a president’s power to declassify documents needs to be revisited. The current law seems to be that the president has the authority to declassify anything he wants, from nuclear weapons secrets and technology to the identities of intelligence assets in other countries, setting them up for execution. The US Constitution says nothing about a president’s power to declassify, so it is federal law that needs to set some limits because Trump will not be the last Republican president who sees himself as all powerful and puts his personal greed and wants above the safety of the country. Indeed, to run as a Republican today and win requires a level of corruption that we have not seen before.

The Steele dossier gets the attention but I’ve read that a lot of intel and security people immediately thought Uh Oh!

Trump had waaay too many connections to Russia (really any attachment to foreign nationals), he was very dependent on them for his businesses. He sold a lot of condos to people in the middle level of the oligarchs. His lawyer Michael Cohen was nicknamed “Tom Hagen” (The Godfather) because he was adopted into the Russian exile (many KGB) world at Brighton Beach. Rudy was fishing around the Ukraine for money as it was flowing there. Manafort alone geesh.

There were a lot of discussions from what I’ve read just spitballing if this guy and the people around him needed to be investigated or even just followed. The nominee of a major political party wasn’t even an arms length away from Russia which means Putin. Carter Paige was the big light under a lot of this fire. The CIA later said he was an asset but we never got more of an explanation on that. Was he a FBI/intel mole in the Trump campaign?

Sella, a 75-year-old former Israeli Air Force officer, was indicted on three counts of espionage in 1987 for recruiting Pollard, a U.S. Naval Intelligence analyst, and convincing him to hand over state secrets to Israel.

"Profits over people" largely the legacy of Reagan and "greed is good." MAGAts clearly support anything TFG does, applaud his lawless behavior, and send him their money. One thing that was never a secret is that he has never served anybody but himself.

SCOTUS is already badly rigged and the court system, etc., may get worse as Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society just got a tax-free $1.65 billion donation.

Major media hung on his every word without challenging a single slogan or empty phrase, he had star quality, good for ratings.

Social media were awash in Russian trolls and bots and Fakebook was wide open to Cambridge Analytica. If you don't know who those scum sucking bottom feeders were or what they did, look them up.

Massive voting roll hacks had been found in Illinois, for one, and nothing was done to beef up security.

Talking heads who
hung on every stupid word from TFG did voice overs every time they showed Clinton speaking, so she was never heard.

Then we have James fucking Comey, who saw Clinton's name mentioned on a cell phone and breathlessly announced, 5 days before the election, that the investigation inot her email and text messages was wide open again.'

And finally, we have a full lineup of crooked evangelical preachers who swore to their sheep that TFG was god's anointed, and if they wanted to get into heaven, they had to vote for him. Never mind the hookers, the 3 wives, the wage theft, or any of the rest of it, their gawd works his wonders through flawed men.

I'm not blaming voters who were being led around by rings in their noses. I blame the evil fuckers who led them.

1. TV star on The Apprentice - bloke is a sham, empty vessel that needs a script to work from.

2. Voters should have taken notice of his bad financial history, obvious lack of intelligence, and lack of political background.
And seen through his self promotion.

etc

But in the background was always the idea, that . . . . Well, let's see where this goes and what is in it for me. If it all goes wrong, we just hit the reset button on this Democratic Republic and no harm done.

Problem is, that 'reset' is going to take a lot of time and the efforts of Good People like Biden to make happen.
