I didn't know what they were taking about at the time because I was working on a project.
Now I know.

(11,503 posts)They are not yet as 24/7 brazen and obvious, but they do push to shape opinion rightward.
What would you call hosting CNN/Teabag debates, and giving airtime to batshit-crazy Michelle Bachmann for the Teabag Rebuttal to Obama's SOTUs? I'd call it "spreading rightwing bullshit".

(5,410 posts)I was disappointed, and I don't have cable for the TV anymore....
This was the goddamn President of the United States making a prime-time address, and they didn't cover it...
Obviously a choice made by their corporate owners...
I had to jump back on the computer to view it. Many months ago, someone on DU posted this link which gives a lot of cable feeds you can view for free, including all the news channels, but also Cinemax (although many on the list require you to pay to download sofware, these do not, so I watched the address on MSNBC...)

I would have preferred to watch the speech from a couch instead of the computer chair, but we do what we have to do. I think this is perhaps the best speech I ever saw my President "Fighting Joe Biden" give-- tonight I have little recollection of any other...

(17,299 posts)There was the primetime game on Fox and games on ESPNs, FS1, CBSSports, BTN and so forth.
Specifically in Pennsylvania, Penn State vs Purdue was on TV and Pitt was playing WVU on ESPN. I doubt many here in the state were turned in to Biden's speech. It was terrible scheduling by Biden's campaign team or staff or comms team or all of them.

(13,913 posts)Biden to them is boring, and esp'ly for cbs whose known for trump-humping programming since its moonves days biden doesn't generate enough $ for them. Their loss of course.
