Colbert was awesomeness. Stephanopoulos was absolutely insufferable.

Or perhaps by being a clueless straight man.. Stephanopolous made this a very good interview..

2. I wanted to see Colbert go out of character at the end of the interview when Stephanopolis asked

him to. Right wingers can be very clueless and I felt if he went out of character and explained why citizen's united is so scary it would have been better than him repeating the joke that many probably didn't get.

That said I enjoyed seeing Colbert.

3. Love Colbert..... but

the spot on ABC this morning was silly.


ABC is suppose to be a serious news show. And his segment added nothing. It didn't belong.



On a good note, it really shows the impact Stewart and Colbert are having on the main stream media, when they can get this type of slot on a morning news program over a comedy stunt (albeit very educational) on a late night cable show.



The Daily Show's TV ratings now top every show on FOX news except The Factor. My guess is Colbert's show isn't far behind.

ANY of the CorpoMedia© outlets.

scrubbed and disinfected and deracinated non-news...

I remember when I started noticing that I had more question after the newscast than before. They stopped naming names, they left out the salient nugget that would actually tell you something. It was back in the mid 70's.

That was fun! I respectfully disagree that Stephanopoulos was insufferable--that whole interview was scripted and he was just being a straight man--but I agree that Colbert was awesomeness. He can't help it!
