I thought the DoJ was supposed to put forward a list of potential special masters.

I could be wrong, Cannon may pick the other Trump choice. My record for predictions has been pretty accurate.

The mere nomination of Huck is outrageous. Shouldn't the picks have top secret security clearance? If Cannon picks Huck, that means that she should drop her executive privilege investigation.

Isn't delaying everything the only goal of Trump? Pushing everything to his fascist judges at the SC?

he gets to see all the classified and top secret info. Then, he can sell it to the highest bidder.

Yes, I do think they are that dishonest and criminal. This is who they are, the whole lot of them.

IMO, one of them is to chuck all of the tomfoolery and appeal directly to the 11th Circuit.

The other is to move the venue to DC, as is required by the Presidential Records Act. The DOJ, as stated by Katyal, can simply bypass Cannon and move on.

Venue can't be challenged on appeal. DOJ has had several opportunities to object to the case being considered in Florida and has not once raised them.

Katyal originally suggested appealing to the 11th circuit would be "dicey" and DOJ should try to move the case (without explaining how that could be done at this stage). Then, when DOJ indicated it was going to appeal and asked for a stay (without making any argument about venue), Katyal praised the DOJ argument as brilliant.
