The stammering to find a retort was classic.. um, err... well, ahhhh.... but but but...

(6,199 posts)Perhaps if she was debating a 3rd grader she might have had a chance.
It also would have gone better for her if she had some worthwhile, legitimate arguments.
As it was, Al completely overwhelmed her.
And I'm being kind here.

(1,756 posts)Garland was a prime example of the rights war on democracy.
The people re-elected President Obama in 2012 to a four-year term ending January 20, 2017 not February 2016.

(9,838 posts)That's never happened before (at least I don't think it has.) And the Supreme Court building is now closed to the public. What happened here?

(2,357 posts)that SC vacancy. First, as I recall, he said it was "too close" to the election to fill the vacancy. Obama still had 11 months left in office. Then, as skeptics began calling foul, somebody devised some argle bargle about how if the president is of a different party than the majority in the senate, THEN the president can't fill a SC vacancy.
The Constitution clearly says that the president SHALL fill SC vacancies. Not just maybe...not if the senate majority is a different party...not if an election is still nearly a year away. SHALL fill...period.

(82,849 posts)She isn't listening to what she's saying, why are you listening? Such a dastardly trick to repeat her exact words back to Stewart and ask her when it happened. So mean!

(141 posts)who took the Senate seat vacated by A, is a strong Democrat and a loyal vote for the Democratic initiatives, so we didn't lose out on that score. Fortunately Al can speak out of the issues, so not a total loss.

He needs to be a go-to talking head to take stands on our behalf - and NOT BE BULLIED DOWN by some fast-talking, tall-tale telling GOPer. He really pushed into the conversation AND against whatever talking points his opponent was trying to sell.
WE NEED THAT! MORE PLEASE! YES, I'm SHOUTING!!!
