For 187 minutes, Trump had the luck of the Devil.

Trump watched a very violent attack for over 3 hours. That is a long time. He had no control, no idea what was going to happen during those hours. Many more cops could have been killed. Many more Trump voters could have been shot and killed. Members of Congress could have been killed. It could have turned into a massacre. If that happened Trump could be looking at murder charges.

He sat there waiting for something for over 3 hours, whatever that something was it didn't happen because he did not finish what he started. Any normal person would have become concerned when the mob got out of control. They would be worried about the crowd killing members of congress, they would be worried that they would be held responsible if members of Congress were killed, not Trump.

Trump is a lucky SOB.

Trump has always had the luck of the Devil.

God only knows what is going on in his sick mind at the time. We may never find out exactly

He had already positioned his henchman in the military and the various spy agencies. It is most Putinesque to assert one's self as the arbiter to stop one's own debacle.

...in a bunker or somewhere safe from the mob, like they did with the VP and the Congress?

Why?

Because everyone knew he was leading the mob.

but if he sat around and watched everything unfolding and not lifting a finger to do anything (which all evidence currently indicates) or actively inhibited a response (which is also suggested in regards to National Guard deployment), then, as POTUS, he still was negligent in fulfilling his responsibilities and should be held accountable accordingly for what DID happen IMHO.

4. Probably the best 187 minutes of his life

It was a thrill to him, that he had so much power over people that they were willing to kill for him, that they were willing to overthrow our Democracy on his say so. It would not surprise me to learn that his handlers wanted him isolated so others couldn't see the sheer joy emanating from him during the violence. I bet he was smiling and giggling the whole time.

I believe he assumed Pence and the members of Congress would be protected, which did happen. He did not give a shit about the police. He was hoping Pence would back down and stop the count. When that didn't happen, he then hoped the Secret Service would remove Pence from the Capital. I believe one or more of the Secret Service were in on the plot. When Pence refused it screwed up Trumps plan.

If Pence had fled Trump may have made some sort of announcement about the vote count. How the election was stolen. About how the fake electors should be put in place.

Reports started coming out about their injuries and a couple deaths and he still didn’t want to ask them to pull back and leave.

9. Rarely in my entire life have I had to endure such a vile, corrupt, disgusting person.

In thirty six years of being in business, I dealt with some of the cheapest of the cheap, coming in believing that I owed them money out of my pocket so they could keep it in theirs. Even the worst of the worst pale in comparison to the package of disgust known as the former guy.

Please don’t mistake the sentiments about my customers. 99% were the salt of the earth. It’s the 1%, ironically, who I could have done without, and in fact, just as people have the right to choose if they want to deal with a business or not, a business owner, on occasion, needs to fire overly demanding customers. Unfortunately, it took years to figure that out.

Trump is an anomaly - an aberration of all that we were raised to be. For the love of God, this man deserves all that is coming to him. If he is indicted and hopefully jailed, we can begin the process, albeit after some civil unrest, to flush the fascists back down the hole from which they crawled.

The scariest thing for me has been watching tens of millions of Americans become completely delusional about an asshole who lies like a child, acts like child, is very foolish. They in their minds created an image of Trump that doesn't exist.

“As seen in the zoomed in box in the photograph below, the ZAP brand is clearly visible on the stun gun tucked into Barnett’s pants,” Capitol Police agent James Solte wrote in a 7-page statement of facts. “Based on the brand on the weapon, and its appearance, the weapon appeared to be a ZAP Hike N Strike 950,000 Volt Stun Gun Walking Stick.”

Would that cause cardiac arrest in the Speaker. Even if the White not so Supremacist failed to understand the role of wattage in carrying out his nefarious deed it should be what his intent was.
