Turned her on but then immediately off. Not impressed.

(6,794 posts)change the channel. I have tried to like her program but no luck. I was not a fan when she had a morning show years ago on MSNBC. My opinion remains the same.

(1 post)I joined this site just to reply to this post. All I have to say is ...What? She is a very thorough journalist. If you "turned her on but immediately off" seems you had some kind of preconceived opinion of her. There is a reason she is in Rachel's time slot and that's because of her skills.

(58,785 posts)It's fine of course to share one's preferences, but ideally should reflect some element of honest evaluation. Even if it's only something like wondering at ones' own reaction to some aspect of persona.

(9,372 posts)She was Rachel's choice to fill her spot. Frankly, I'd have liked Keith Olbermann, but Alex is a very competent and down-to-earth journalist. Which is probably why she is there and Keith, who gets quite emotional (and I love that), isn't.

(1,587 posts)very judgemental inability to see beyond their own preconceived personal ideas of what some very qualified journalists should say, and how they should say it. Their primary broadcast reason is to inform and educate. Alex Wagner has effectively and professionally done that.

She is very thorough and knowledgeable.
